Kill Von Kull
The Kill (Dutch for riverbed) Von Kull Canoe takes its name from the tidal strait between Staten Island,NY and Bayonne, NJ, historically a key channel for the region's commerce. In the early 1600's Henry Hudson explored the Kill hoping to find the door to the Orient. During the colonial era, the strait played a significant role in travel between New York and the southern colonies. Shown here as a show-stopping accent to a rustic banquet table, the light from this fixture envelops guests in a serene, calming glow. Fine details show the cedar gunwale and brass screw heads.
