Kill Van Kull Canoe

The Kill Van Kull Canoe takes its name from the tidal strait between Staten Island and Bayonne, which  historically has been one of the most important channels for the region's commerce. Henry Hudson explored the Kill [Dutch for river bed] hoping to find the door to the Orient. During the colonial era it played a significant role in travel between New York and the southern colonies. Shown here as a show stopping accent to a rustic barn banquet table, this light envelops you and your guests in a serene, calming glow. Fine details show the cedar gunwale and brass screw heads.
